Ibicella
The three species are native to warm regions of South
America and one, Ibicella lutea, has been introduced to southern
Africa where it has become a garden escape and a weed of cultivation.

Proboscidea
The nine species are native to warm regions of South
America. Proboscidea fragrans originates from Mexico and besides
being an ornamental garden species, it is also cultivated for its fruit. In
southern Africa it occurs as a garden escape and is thought to have become
naturalised. |
