About 80 species, native to Europe and Africa, with 11 species in southern Africa.

 

Torenia

About 40 species, native to the tropics, mainly SE Asia, Indian Ocean islands, and Africa. Two species, Torenia spicata and Torenia thouarsii, are native to southern Africa.
