Laurembergia

Four species, occurring from Africa through to the East Indies and New Zealand, with one species, Laurembergia repens native to southern Africa.

 

Myriophyllum

Forty species, cosmopolitan, with two naturalised species in southern Africa: Myriophyllum aquaticum (Parrot’s feather, Waterduisendblaar) and Myriophyllum spicatum (Spiked water-milfoil). Both species are declared Category 1 invasive plants in South Africa.
