Native to Europe, North Africa, Canary Islands and western Asia.

Native to Europe and western Asia. Naturalised in southern Africa where it is usually encountered in disturbed situations such as along roadsides and on the edges of fields.

 

Trifolium campestre (Hop trefoil)

Native from Europe to Iran.

Native to western Europe and Morocco.

 

Trifolium dubium (Lesser trefoil)

Native from Europe to the Caucasus, naturalised in southern Africa. Found in disturbed habitats such as along roadsides and field borders.
