Submerged, perennial marine plants. Five genera
and 16 species (tropical seas), with four genera and five species off the coast

recorded from Mozambique. |

Thalassodendron
Two species (coasts of E Africa, E Malaysia and Australia), with Thalassodendron ciliatum
occurring in the Indian Ocean, including off the coast of northern
KwaZulu-Natal and Mozambique. |
