Cornus (dogwoods)

About 45 species, native mainly to north temperate regions but also in South America and Africa. Eight species are cultivated in southern Africa.

 

Nyssa

Two species are cultivated in southern Africa: Nyssa sylvatica (Tupelo tree) (native to eastern Canada and the USA), and Davidia involucrata (Dove tree) (native to China).
