The most common of all the species in South Africa.

Distribution in southern Africa includes Zimbabwe, Swaziland, Lesotho and South Africa (Limpopo, Mpumalanga, Gauteng, KwaZulu-Natal, Free State and Eastern Cape).

Zantedeschia odorata (Scented arum, Soetvarkblom)

Similar in appearance to Z. aethiopica. Found only in dolerite koppies on the Bokkeveld Plateau near Nieuwoudtville in the Northern Cape.
