Clark, Gowan Coningsby (1888-1964)
Amateur lepidopterist. Best known for his paintings of the
life histories of South African butterflies.

1965. J. ent. Soc. sth. Afr. 27: 267-268. Well known for his paintings of the
life histories of South African butterflies, completing more than 250 plates in
his life time. Also collected insects for institutions such as the Transvaal
Museum.
