Cnemidocarpa campylogona  

Indian Ocean, including Mozambique.

 

Cnemidocarpa psammophora

Recorded from Algoa Bay (Eastern Cape, South Africa) at a depth of 25-39 m.

 

Cnemidocarpa radicata

Recorded from Mozambique, including Inhaca Island, at a depth of 2 m.

 

Species naturalised in southern Africa

Cnemidocarpa humilis (Leathery sea squirt)

Distribution includes southern Australia, New Zealand and southern South America. In South Africa, it has been recorded from Hout Bay harbour and Simonstown (Cape Peninsula), on ropes and is probably introduced (Picker and Griffiths 2011).
