Distribution

Throughout Africa south of the Sahara as well as on Mauritius and Madagascar (Pinhey 1975).

Larval host-plants 

(recorded in Kroon, 1999, unless otherwise indicated)

Larvae have been recorded feeding on the following plants:

Dahlia sp.

Tecoma capensis (Cape Honeysuckle)

 

Cordia caffra

Convolvulus sp.

Pycnostachys urticifolia

Salvia sp.

Lycopersicon esculentum (Tomato)

Nicotiana  tabacum (Tobacco)

Recorded in Pinhey (1975).
