Larval cases of Hydrosalpinx sericea (Hydrosalpingidae), a species endemic to mountain streams in the Western Cape.

Larval cases and adult of Petrothrincus circularis (Petrothrincidae), endemic to mountain streams of the Western Cape.

Adult caddisflies have a moth-like appearance. Larvae are found at the bottom of streams and build distinctive cases round themselves.
