Small electric rays with a short, broadly rounded snout and a tiny transverse mouth. 9 species, 3 in the area.

Electrolux addisoni (Ornate sleeper ray)

Heteronarce garmani (Natal electric ray)

A small plain brown electric ray with an elongated narrow disk, 2 dorsal fins, and a small narrow caudal fin. Underside white.

 

Narke capensis (Onefin electric ray)

A small, yellowish brown electric ray with a single dorsal fin. Disk nearly circular, caudal fin elongated. Yellowish patches on upper tail, underside yellow with brown margins.
